
Program Overview
The Fundamentals of Commercial Brewing Systems will introduce you to the world of commercial brewing. You will be exposed to the equipment, processes and technologies that professional brewers use currently to manage and run breweries of varying sizes. The primary focus will remain on production management and brewery material flow. Upon completion of this program participants will be able to:
- Outline the major steps included in a typical brewing process
- Identify and articulate the major pieces of equipment used in a typical brewery
- Read and effectively analyze a quote from a brewery equipment manufacturer
- Identify the cause of possible production pinch-points and associated potential solutions
Course Convenience
We have streamlined this course so that it can be held LIVE via Zoom with support through our learning management system. The number of hours have been shortened and the price has been reduced. We hope this makes it accessible to a broader range of craft beer brewing professionals. Guest speakers from regional partners are still an integral part of the program to share their expertise.
Course meets on Wednesdays, 3 hours per week for 8 weeks

Meet the Instructor!

Brewmaster and brewery consultant Dean Priebe is taking over the updated Fundamentals of Commerical Brewing Systems course in Fall 2021.
With his passion for teaching, experience instructing our Mastering Beer Styles course, and over 20 years of experience with Icicle Brewing in Leavenworth, Dean is eager to show you "how the beer flows through the factory."
