The Center for Equity & Inclusion is partnering with Red Sea Road Consulting to bring to you a three part training series focused on racial equity. In this series of three 90 minute workshops you will gain knowledge of core concepts in antiracism and racial equity, reflect on your own experience, explore the pursuit of racial justice through restorative practices, and gain insight into what it will mean to be an ally to others in the work of antiracism.
Please see more information about our workshop offerings below and encourage your students and colleagues to attend.

About Red Sea Road's Approach
RedSeaRoad seeks to provideparticipants with an examination of ourcollective and individual racial consciousness. We combine training that will ultimately result in the development of a common framework and a unique set of tools and protocols, all of which lead to the development and integration of personal and professional equity goals. These trainings will outline strategies to advance and sustain equity and inclusion efforts across the campus.
Our shared framework for consultation can be summarized by adrienne maree brown’s core principles from Emergent Strategy:Shaping Change,Changing Worlds:
“Small is good, small is all (The large is a reflection of the small)
Change is constant (Be like water)
There is always enough time for the right work.
There is a conversation in the room that only these people at this moment can have. Find it.
Never a failure, always a lesson.
Trust the People(If you trust the people, they become trustworthy)
Move at the speed of trust
Focus on critical connections more than critical mass—build the resilience by building the relationships
Less prep, more presence
What you pay attention to grows”
