The University of Washington Tacoma’s School of Education announces an opening for a full-time Director of the Educational Administration Program to start in the 2021-2022 academic year with faculty rank of Professor of Practice. The Educational Administration program prepares P-12 principals and program administrators to center equity, ethics, and critical reflection as leaders who positively impact the lives of diverse communities, families, and learners. The expected start date is around June 01, 2021 and will be negotiated with the Dean.

Search Updates
We will post updates on this webpage including when semi-finalists and finalists are identified. We will also provide stakeholders with opportunities to interact with the finalists and provide feedback (likely in winter 2021).
Winter 2021 Quarter
- The committee has identified 11 semi-finalists for Round 1 interviews. They incorporated stakeholder feedback in the development of interview questions. They are also determining potential dates to hold Round 2 virtual interviews for finalists. Information will be posted when more details are available.
Autumn 2020 Quarter
- The search committee met in October 2020 to develop working agreements and map out a tentative time-line for the search including recruitment strategies. The Office of the Dean administered a stakeholder survey to external and internal partners that will inform search committee conversations. The search committee also met with the Dean and Director of Academic Personnel to discuss UW search protocols.
Summer 2020 Quarter
- The Dean and voting faculty met to finalize the job description.
