Environmental Chemistry Research at UW Tacoma
Several of our faculty pursues research in the areas of Environmental Chemistry as it relates to contaminant and chemical fate, transport and sources to the environment. Most of our expertise is in investigating aquatic systems primarily those impacted by urban systems and anthropogenic factors. We utilize state of the art instrumentation in our research laboratories on campus and at the Center for Urban Waters. Students working with these faculty gain extensive training in current analytical techniques as well as obtain valuable experience collecting various environmental samples in the field.
