Cara Farnell, TLC Program Coordinator, is available for learning consultations. These one-on-one appointments seek to help students in becoming better learners by developing metacognitive learning strategies. Relevant topics include:
- Time management
- Strategies for reading
We will work together to develop an individualized plan and can schedule follow-up meetings to troubleshoot and improve our approach.
Cara has a Masters in Educational Psychology from the University of New Mexico and has worked with students at her previous institution (University of Puget Sound) in this capacity. She also taught a course on Reading Strategies. To make an appointment, you may contact the TLC front desk or Cara directly.
Cara also leads workshops on these topics. Currently, these workshops are being hosted in collaboration with First Gen Fellows, and more information can be found at the First Gen Workshop Series page.
