The Office of Student Advocacy and Support provides referral and support services to students. Using a case management model, students are assisted in navigating on and off campus resources. The purpose of this office is to assist students in developing strategies to overcome and address barriers that prevent them from achieving their educational and life goals.
Faculty and staff often serve on the frontline with students and are aware of the challenges and issues that they face. If you are a faculty or staff member and have a student that is in crisis or needs some additional support, please complete our referral form and we will connect with the student.
We have compiled information on various resources that are available on campus and in the community for UW Tacoma students. From information about housing, to food, to childcare, and more, our Resource Tracker is a great place for students to learn where they can seek help.
Husky2Husky (H2H) is an innovative homesharing program that offers Tacoma residents the opportunity to help a UW Tacoma student obtain affordable housing by utilizing that "spare room" in their home. This program offers housemate matches based on lifestyles and personalities. The program was created through the partnership with Shared Housing Services.
