Due to guidelines produced by the State of Washington & The University of Washington, video and tabletop games will be unavailable. The UWY Game Room features study space options for students that can be reserved here: https://www.tacoma.uw.edu/study/spaces
On the second floor of the University Y, the Game Room is a space for students to relax and socialize with others over a game of pool, ping-pong, air hockey or a video game. Additionally, the three televisions in the Game Room are connected to cable channels and are open for watching your favorite show! So the next time that you have a break in-between classes or need to rest after your game on the University Y court - come enjoy the University Y Game Room!
Some of the games available in the Game Room include:
To check-out a controller and game for the XBOX One or PlayStation 4, UW Tacoma students should bring their student ID to the front desk in the Center for Student Involvement in UWY 107. The student who checks-out the equipment is responsible for all equipment while it is in their possession.
The Nintendo Switch consoles are also checked-out from the Center for Student Involvement; however, they are handheld and can be played anywhere.
The video game consoles are available for use when the Center for Student Involvement is open.
Please note that the video game consoles are open to UW Tacoma students only. Non-students are welcome to use the consoles, if a UW Tacoma student checks-out the equipment and remains present during use.
