The UW Tacoma Nursing curriculum emphasizes and fosters the integration of teaching, inquiry, and service among a community of diverse students. Partnerships with the community provide learning environments in which students build upon their skills and knowledge to strengthen their understanding of local, national, and global health issues. We proudly share accreditation with UW Seattle's School of Nursing, which has held the top ranking in U.S. News and World Report since 1984.
Special Topics course in Spring Quarter: T HLTH 490 / Knowing Health and Illness through the Arts, a class that will offer an opportunity to analyze how life and death are depicted in literature, poetry, music, photography, and sculpture.

When Delilah Bruskas was about five years old, the child welfare system removed her from her biological family for reasons she never understood. By the time she graduated from high school, she had lived with seven different families and attended 10 schools.

A November/December 2011 Gallup poll ranking honesty and ethics puts nurses at the top for the twelfth year in a row. This places nurses above pharmacists, medical doctors, high school teachers, police officers, and clergy.

When snow or other dangerous conditions strike, campus leaders will decide by 6 a.m. whether to cancel classes and other campus activities, or operate on a delayed schedule.
