Our commitment...
The University of Washington Tacoma is committed to being inclusive and accessible for everyone.
At the University of Washington, diversity is one of our core values and our campus is strengthened and enriched by people with disabilities. Accessibility is an approach to communication and engagement that recognizes the intersectional identities, experiences, and needs of our entire campus community. It goes beyond legal accommodations for students, staff and faculty with disabilities.
Accessibility creates a community where everyone can bring their whole self to campus and have the opportunity to thrive.

Digital Accessibility @ UW

Accessibility is our shared responsibility.
On April 24, 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) published a new rule on digital accessibility under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This rule requires the University’s web content, including academic course content, to be accessible starting on April 24, 2026. The Digital Accessibility page can help you find training resources, tools to assess your content, and ways you can start building accessibility compliance into your workflow.
