During the Summer of 2011, eight research interns collaborated with UW Tacoma scientists on a variety of current projects. In addition to providing a valuable experience for the interns, the research outcomes will serve ongoing research projects at UW Tacoma, and also inform research taking place at Washington State University-Puyallup and the City of Tacoma. The interns included undergraduates from both the Tacoma and Seattle campuses of UW, and recent alumni from the UW Tacoma Environmental Science Program.
On September 26, 2011, the interns presented their work at a public event hosted at Urban Waters. Archive copies of their presentations will be posted below when available. Congratulations to Sierra Gernhart, whose presentation was selected by those in attendance as the most outstanding!
