Video conferencing is available on the UW Tacoma campus for internal and external clients.
UW Tacoma primarily uses UW ZOOM Video conferencing. Currently, there are two options to choose from, depending upon your needs:
Each UW member has access to a free, UW Zoom Standard license, which allows for meetings for up to 300 participants and without time limits. Please visit the UW Zoom Video Conferencing site for more information.
If you need stronger administrative assistance, Media Services can schedule your Zoom meeting for you. Please contact us at least two weeks prior to the conference date to arrange for assistance.
Requests for services to offer distance education courses and to conduct tri-campus business will be given top priority.
Requests for services from off-campus business or agencies will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If you are not affiliated with UW Tacoma, you will need to contact firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss getting set up to use this service.
While most of our classrooms and conference rooms have webcams available for Zoom, several locations offer higher-quality, positional PTZ cameras.
Current classrooms are limited to campus COVID-19 availability.
If you intend to share your recorded meeting with viewers who were not in the meeting's attendance, it is strongly recommended that you obtain permission from identifiable persons in the video. Download the UW Personal Release Form
