Three UW Tacoma Programs Recognized with U.S. News Rankings
Milgard School MBA reputation grows; Nursing, Social Work share national ranking of Seattle programs.
The Milgard School of Business, the Nursing & Healthcare Leadership Program and the Social Work & Criminal Justice Program have recently been recognized in the 2020 rankings of graduate programs by U.S. News & World Report.
The Milgard School’s MBA program was ranked 65th among part-time MBA programs across the U.S. A total of about 290 schools were ranked. The current ranking continues an upward surge for the program, which was at #137 in 2018 and #101 in 2019. The ranking is based on a survey of the perception of the school among deans and MBA directors at all other business schools, and upon student performance in the program.
“We are a high-quality boutique school whose reputation grows by the day,” said Dr. Eugene Sivadas, MBA Director. “Our ranking is our own and is not blended with any other program or campus. We pride ourselves on our teaching and the quality of the faculty and students we continue to attract.” The Milgard School is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
The UW School of Nursing, which is a tri-campus unit that includes the nursing programs on the Tacoma and Bothell campuses, was ranked #4 nationally among public schools that offer a Master’s degree. That ranking is specific to the programs on the Tacoma and Bothell campuses. The 2020 ranking is the first year that data from all three campuses was included in the material reviewed by U.S. News.
The UW School of Social Work tied for #3 in the nation in the U.S. News rankings. Undergraduate and graduate degrees in social work offered by the Social Work & Criminial Justice Program at UW Tacoma are accredited as part of the UW School of Social Work.
