We know that sometimes your schedule doesn't align with our offerings. Sometimes you just need to fill a small gap in your knowledge or prepare for an industry exam. Maybe self-paced, online courses seem like the right fit for you but you're not sure where to start or which provider to trust.
The Professional Development Center now partners with MindEdge on a select catalog of self-paced, online courses related to our core subject areas. MindEdge has been a leading provider and pioneer in e-learning since its founding by Harvard and MIT educators in 1998. Our specific MindEdge catalog has been curated by the Professional Development Center to find the most relevant and up-to-date courses to supplement our existing programs.

We offer two project management exam prep options: CAPM® and CompTIA Project+®.
Once you've selected the topic you're interested in, you'll be directed to our catalog on the MindEdge website. You will register, pay for, and access your courses there.
You'll create a student account with MindEdge as part of the registration and check out process.
Complete the coursework within the allotted timeframe
Your class is asynchronous and can be completed when your schedule allows, but you will only be able to access the coursework for a set period of time. You can purchase a course extension through your course records, if you need more time.
Your course will begin with a tutorial on how to use the MindEdge learning system.
Transcripts and records through MindEdge
While UW Tacoma has reviewed the courses and partners with MindEdge, all course transcripts will be accessed through your MindEdge course records page. These are always available, even after your access to the content has expired.
You can also add earned Badges to your social media accounts and resumes.
If you encounter any technical issues or have problems with the course content, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
