Student success is paramount at UW Tacoma; the Academic Advising Center is here to support your academic success through programs and resources tailored to your needs.

In the Academic Advising Center we help you choose and declare a major, discover learning opportunities on and off-campus, investigate pre-professional programs as well as plan a course of study to meet your educational goals. We make sure that every afforded opportunity is available to you.

We offer services tailored to your unique needs covering everything from low scholarship and reinstatement issues to applying for graduation.

Take advantage of our services; we are your “Academic GPS” and want to make your time at UW Tacoma a true Husky experience.

Important Dates

  • The last day for undergraduate students to apply to graduate in March 2015 is January 23.  Make an appointment to meet with an advisor and complete your graduation application. You may use "graduating senior priority" to register on the first day of Registration Period 1.

  • Institute of Technology advising is located in Cherry Parks (CP) 133.


  • Do you have a quick question for an advisor?  Meet with a drop-in advisor. Peer academic advisors are available to answer quick questions in person, by phone or through email.  Please visit our peer academic advising page for more information.


  • Registration hold?  You may have received messaging about needing to declare a major, applying to graduate, addressing probation, etc. Schedule an appointment with an advisor to discuss your options.
