The students of the Milgard School of Business are making academic honesty and integrity central to their experience. A new initiative in the 2010-2011 year will focus on building a culture of integrity in the classroom.
Thirty five academics gathered in Tacoma on July 15-16 to discuss the latest research on corporate social responsibility. Participants were from across the business disciplines and discussions were lively.

The work of a select group of Milgard Scholars during the 2009-2010 academic year will make an impact on the school and the community for many years to come. Congratulations to the winners of our 2010 Milgard Student Case Competition. The team of Jordan Brooks, Daniel Jonson, Shawn Polhamus, and David Stryzheus successfully navigated a difficult case and were victorious in the ten team competition.
The Center for Leadership and Social Responsibility at the Milgard School of Business, University of Washington Tacoma is pleased to announce its first academic research conference. The conference aims to facilitate high quality, rigorous scholarship on a wide range of social responsibility issues.
Responsibility in Small Enterprises (RISE) is a forum for discussion and discovery of responsible and sustainable business practices for small businesses. There are many large organizations designed to explore this topic for large, multi-national corporations, but this group is designed specifically with the small and medium sized business in mind.
