Congratulations to the team from Western Washington University, winners of the inaugural Milgard Invitational Case Competition on Social Responsibility.
Last summer the Center commissioned a carpenter to encase a support column on Dougan's first floor. The case is made in part from lumber reclaimed during the Joy Building renovation.
The column now sports four bulletin boards to showcase our programs, highlight what's happening in the world of corporate social responsibility, and provide food for thought. Archives of the column's content are available on our website.

Nominate a Graduating Senior for a Celebration of Excellence Award.
Congratulations to the team from Western Washington University for their superior performance in the inaugural Milgard Invitational Case Competition on Social Responsibility. They did a wonderful job with the case on Fair Trade Cotton and Victoria's Secret. Congratulations also to the runner-up team, the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington Seattle. Both of these teams did an excellent job of addressing this complex case.
Congratulations to the winning team of the 2012 UWT Case Competition. Lindsey Reese, Harinder Samra, Titus Kimbowa and John Heller made the best presentation of solutions to the case - "Sustainability at REI".
The Center for Leadership and Social Responsibility at the Milgard School of Business, University of Washington Tacoma is pleased to announce its third annual research conference to be held July 12-13, 2012 in Tacoma, Washington, USA. This conference has attracted leading academics from more than ten countries.
