About Us

ASUWT is your student government, the voice of students at our University, in the community, and in our state and local governments. Our job is to represent UW Tacoma’s diverse student body by promoting students’ interests, needs, and welfare at every level of power.

Through engagement in University governance and the stewardship of resources provided through state law, we play an active role in building our own institution. In all our efforts, we seek to exercise our agency as students and demonstrate by example students’ capacity to grapple with complex issues and thrive under significant responsibility.

We are here to serve YOU, and make sure that YOUR voice is heard loud and clear.
