Annual Milgard Success Center Events
- Lunch & Learns are events sponsored by the Milgard Success Center throughout the year. Employers come in to talk about their organizations and what it's like to work there. 3 or more Lunch & Learns are required to complete your Business Professional Certificate.
- Inspired Speaker Series Events that will be announced throughout the year.
- The Success Conference (occurred on 9/22/22) is an annual event that sponsors panels of employers and alumni speakers to talk about pathways to successful careers. Graduate & undergraduate students should attend.
- Meet the Professionals is an annual career fair for accounting recruitment. All accounting students should attend.
- The Etiquette Dinner is an annual event where employers network with students while learning the Art of Business Etiquette. This event will take place in either January or April.
- Winter Internship & Job Fair takes place each February focused on Milgard students.

To complete the Milgard Gold Business Professional Certificate...
You must complete and record various activities. There are 3 badges to earn on your journey to complete the certificate. Each badge has one or more required activities and some optional activities. Track and record your activities on Suitable (app). Once earned, the Milgard Gold Professional Certificate can be listed on your resume.

Requirements:
Complete an Appointment with the Milgard Success Center via Zoom or in person
Attend 3 or more Lunch & Learns
Optional Activities
Complete at least 2 optional activities. Activities are added frequently.

Complete and record 3 interviews from The Big Interview and forward to the Success Center. The link to the Big Interview is on the Milgard Success Center website (Home page - Lower right)

The goal of this program is to prepare you for your career. Participation in networking events, career fairs, lunch & learns, the annual success conference, the etiquette dinner, resume reviews, appointments with Success Center, mock interview training, job application, cover letters, annual case competition, speaker series events on campus, student club or campus leadership altogether work to enhance your UW Tacoma experience and prepare you for your next big step to your Business career.
