Bachelor of Arts
The Economics specialization emphasizes economic theory and reasoning. It provides a solid
foundation for understanding how the interplay of economics and politics shape our everyday lives,
with particular emphasis on analytical and critical thinking skills and problem solving.

Admission Requirements
A minimum of 45 lower-division credits is required before declaring the major. To declare the Politics, Philosophy and Economics major, students should reach out to the majoradvisor.
Degree Requirements
For a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, students must complete 65 major credits, which must include 45 credits of upper-division (300–400 level courses), including a Capstone, with a minimum 2.0 GPA in courses applied to the major, as well as the UWT general education and graduation requirements totaling a minimum of 180 credits.
Note: Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PP&E) majors cannot minor in Economics, Law and Policy, or Politics.
At least one class from each of the following three lists, for a total of 20 credits:
