Our mission is to engage students in meaningful conversations which require them to critically think and learn life skills. We strive to successfully prepare students for graduation from the University of Washington Tacoma to enhance the impact they make in our local and global communities.

Scheduling Advising Appointments
Our major advisors are looking forward to meeting with you. We offer in-person, zoom, and phone appointments.

To schedule a virtual or phone appointment use the scheduling link under your advisor's picture.
After you submit your appointment request, you will receive an email confirming the appointment date and time. If you do not receive a confirmation within a few hours, please email the advisor directly or email our general email address (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Please note: Your advisor is setting aside this time just for you. If you can't make your appointment, contact your advisor by replying to the confirmation email or by calling the front desk (253-692-4857).
Preparing for Advising Appointments
When meeting with advisors for academic planning, it is important to be prepared. Before your advising meeting, please do the following:
Write down your questions for the advisor
Review your academic planning resources including the major/minor pages as well as your degree audit, which can be found on the homepage of MyPlan
For Environmental Science, Environmental Sustainability, and Mathematics, email Toni Woodman
In your email include the following information
Intended start quarter
Attach unofficial transcripts from all previous institutions
Note: Based on course pre-requisites and transfer equivalencies, your advisor may need to have some of your transfer courses reviewed. Please save the syllabi from all previous courses in case this is necessary.
