Study Abroad Award Application

IIGE Study Abroad Awards are open to all eligible students regardless of race, sex or other identity.

To be eligible to apply for the IIGE Study Abroad Award, you must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Be a current UW Tacoma undergraduate student who has applied or plans to apply to a study abroad program or internship through UW Tacoma Study Abroad, UW Seattle Study Abroad, or UW Bothell Study Abroad.
  2. Plan to participate in a study abraod program or internship that is at least three weeks in length outside of the United States, and is a minimum of 5 credits.
  3. Expect to graduate in Spring Quarter 2027 or later.

Award amount: $1000

Application Deadline: Applications are due by Sunday, March 29, 2026

Awards are contingent upon funding.  We anticipate communicating award decisions by mid-May 2026.
