Bachelor of Arts
The General History option is designed to offer students a survey of history and build upon the core requirements. In addition to the 30 credits of Core courses, this option requires 30 credits of Electives with a THIST prefix; 25 credits must be upper-division (300–400 level) THIST courses. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of 45 lower-division credits is required before declaring the major. To declare the History major, students should reach out to the major advisor.
DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
For a BA in History, students must complete 60 major credits, as well as the UWT general education and graduation requirements totaling a minimum of 180 credits.

- THIST 380 Humanities Research and Writing (taken in junior year—recommended prerequisite: THIST 101)
- THIST 498 History Capstone (2.0 GPA minimum required; taken in your last 1–2 quarters; prerequisite: THIST 380 with a minimum 2.0 GPA)
