If you are considering the Teacher Certification Program after you complete your bachelor's degree at UW Tacoma, there are benefits to including the Teaching, Learning and Justice Minor in your undergraduate plan.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To declare a Teaching, Learning and Justice minor, you must have earned a minimum of 45 credits and declared a major. Declare the minor by completing the Request to Declare/Change a Major or Minor form and submitting it to the Office of the Registrar.
DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
For a minor in Teaching, Learning and Justice, you need to complete 30 credits.
Any course taken to fulfill a Teacher Certification Program curriculum requirement or prerequisite must be completed with a 2.7 minimum GPA. TEDUC 290 fulfills the Teaching Certification Program admission requirement of a minimum of 40 hours of documented experience in a school setting; the experience should closely match the age level you wish to teach.
