The nomination window for the Distinguished Research Award is generally open during the month of January. This page will be updated when nominations are open for the 2017 award.
Please review the following guidelines, and the award selection process, to understand how to prepare your nomination.
- Nominations will be accepted from students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Self nominations are also acceptable.
- Nominations must include a one to two page description of the scholarly work or creative activity. The committee will request more detailed information from the nominee at a later time
Please be sure to write your nomination letter in a way that describes the faculty member being nominated as well as the nature of his or her accomplishments and indicators of excellence and achievement.
After the nomination deadline, the nomination letters will be forwarded to the committee for review and the campus will be notified via e-mail regarding the nominees.
The committee will submit a written recommendation to the Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and notification regarding the recipient will be sent via email to the campus.
