How to nominate

Nominations are now being accepted online. Please review the following guidelines and prepare your nomination letter before you click to begin submitting your nomination. The deadline for submitting your nomination for the 2014 Distinguished Research Award is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015.

Nomination requirements

  • Nominations will be accepted from students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Self nominations are also acceptable.
  • Nominations must include a one to two page description of the scholarly work or creative activity. The committee will request more detailed information from the nominee at a later time

Please be sure to write your nomination letter in a way that describes the faculty member being nominated as well as the nature of his or her accomplishments and indicators of excellence and achievement. 

After the nomination deadline, the nomination letters will be forwarded to the committee for review and the campus will be notified via e-mail regarding the nominees.

The committee will submit a written recommendation to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and notification regarding the recipient will be sent via email to the campus.
