Hungry now, eat now! The Cupboard is a dedicated food support service for students experiencing significant financial hardship and food insecurity. Our goal is to ensure that this essential resource is available to those who need it most.
You are encouraged to use The Cupboard if:
- You are struggling to afford groceries because of a tight budget, an unexpected financial emergency, or because you must choose between food and other essential expenses like rent or textbooks.
- You are already utilizing other food supports (like The Pantry, Nourish Mobile Food Bank, and/or SNAP benefits) and still need additional assistance.
- You are not currently eligible for, or are waiting on, other forms of assistance (like SNAP benefits) and need immediate support.
How we uphold these guidelines:
- Self-Assessment: We operate on a trust-based, self-referral model. We ask that you thoughtfully assess your own need based on the points above.
- No Documentation Required: You will not be asked to prove your income or financial situation. Our aim is to reduce barriers, not create them.
- A Supportive Community: The Cupboard is more than food; it's a community. Our team can connect you with community food resources, provide SNAP application assistance, and other campus resources to help address the root causes of insecurity.

Visit The Cupboard
The Cupboard is located on the second floor of Mattress Factory (MAT 204)
Open During Husky Hour
Monday-Friday 12:00-1:30 PM
Visit the Office of Student Advocacy & Support, which is situated in MAT 203, if you require The Cupboard outside of operating hours. A staff members will provide access if available.
