Disability Parking

All UW Tacoma lots with available hourly parking have parking for drivers with disability permits. There are also permit-only C1 and C2 disabled spaces available in the Dougan lot.

Below is a list of UW Tacoma and Community Partner parking lots and garages, which includes types of parking available as well as current rates.

UW Tacoma Lots

Unlike Community Lots, once you purchase a permit for a UWT Lot, your license plate will be immediately authorized to park there. No physical pass will be mailed out to you for these following permits.

The TPS parking lot is located across the street from the Tacoma Paper & Stationery building, on the corner of 19th and Jefferson. Half cemented, half gravel, it lies near the central W on campus.

Court 17 student residents must purchase parking permits through Housing and Residence Life.
In case of no parking space availability, please use the Whitney lot as overflow.
Court 17 permit holders will not get a citation if they park in the Whitney lot during Court 17's peak hours. 

PINKERTON LOTS - 17TH AND BROADWAY

There are two lots on either side of the Pinkerton building. The Northern lot is right on the corner of 17th and Broadway. The Southern lot is on the other side of the building, on Broadway, directly across from Dougan.

MOTORCYCLE (M1) PARKING

All on-campus motorcycle (M1) parking requires a permit.

Permit: Quarterly all day - Valid 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Rate: $60

Motorcycle parking is available as M1 stalls in the Cragle Lot (8 stalls) and on Court C and South 17th Street (8 stalls) behind Pinkerton.

CRAGLE LOT - C STREET AND 21ST

Community Lot Permits

Once you purchase your permit from one of these off-campus community partner lots, you will be mailed a physical permit over the next week to place on your vehicle's dashboard/rearview mirror. In the period before you receive your mailed permit, you will need to print out your confirmation email of your purchase and place it on your vehicle's dashboard.
Printing can be done for free in WG at the IT Center or in the UW Student YMCA.

Community Partner Parking Resources

UW Tacoma has partnered with Republic Parking and Diamond Parking services to offer UW Tacoma customers parking permits at significantly discounted rates for the autumn, winter and spring quarters. Products offered include both restricted and unlimited parking options.

2601 PACIFIC AVE - CORNER OF 26TH AND PACIFIC

$148.00 per quarter

Unlimited parking on the corner of 26th and Pacific Ave, a block and a half away from the LINK Light rail station located on S. 25th and Pacific.

102 EAST 25TH STREET - PREVIOUSLY WT89, NEXT TO THE LINK STATION

$125.00 per quarter

Unlimited parking on the corner of 25th and East A St, right next to the LINK Light rail station located on S. 25th and Pacific.

GREATER TACOMA CONVENTION AND TRADE CENTER LOT E

$225.00 per quarter

Note that Lot E parking passes will NOT be valid on dates of large events at the Convention Center. Permit holders should plan accordingly and consider using other methods of transportation or utilize other parking resources. A list of these blackout dates will be posted at the gate entrance.

MUSEUM OF GLASS PARKING GARAGE

$90.00 per quarter

Park up to 22 times per quarter (an average of 2 times per week).

The garage is just a short walk across the Bridge of Glass that connects to campus at Pacific Ave and 19th Street.

Combine with U-PASS to get the most out of your transportation options.

VISION DEUCE LOT - ON COURT D NORTH OF 17TH ST

$232.00 per quarter

To get to the Vision Deuce Lot from campus, turn north on Court D from 17th Street. Go past the first two small parking lots and turn into the Vision Deuce Lot on your left.

TACOMA DOME LOT A - 2727 E D ST

$85.00 per quarter

Parking permits are valid for the Tacoma Dome Lot A parking, two blocks away from the LINK Light rail Tacoma Dome Station.

Note that these permits will have blackout dates for larger Tacoma Dome events. These event dates will be sent out at the beginning of every month.
