First Generation Fellows is available to all UWT students.  All are welcome to participate with programming themes and activities designed to feature first-gen experiences.

Cohort benefits include knowledge about other support programs, services, and extensive campus referral networks that help enrich academic life.  All students are invited to participate in monthly Lunch and Learns and workshops that focus on the themes of academic success, career development, and personal enrichment.  

After completing cohort requirements, for those financial eligible according to the funding provided, participants qualify for a $200 book scholarship.
 

Cohort Requirements

  • Attend Orientation
  • Complete a Pre & Post Assessment
  • Meet with a Peer Success Mentor
  • Meet with your Academic Advisor
  • Activate Handshake account or update with a new resume / experience
  • Attend a workshop or Lunch & Learn
