Meet the Pack Advisors
Black Pack
Black stands for Perseverance & Dignity
Perseverance means determination in the face of adversity. We motivate ourselves and each other to do our best. We extend grace when we miss our mark and learn from our mistakes. It’s important to hold a common respect for ourselves and our work.

Claire Nguyen
Black Pack
Hello! My name is Claire (she/her) and I'm a sophomore majoring in Computer Science! A thing about me is that I love traveling! I've been to many places in Europe but the one place that stood out to me was Germany, where I was born. When I'm not working or studying, I enjoy playing volleyball, folding origami, and doing nail art! A piece of advice I would give to incoming students would be to fids a study group! It's more encouraging when you have a group of like-minded students working on the same subject. they can help you and you can do the same for them!
PURPLE Pack
Purple stands for Pride
One of the main goals of the Pack Advisors is to foster campus pride. You belong here, in college, and at the UDub. The UW Tacoma experience is unique. What you do has meaning, and we value you as both a student and a member of the community. We want to recognize where you are coming from, and support you in where you are going. You deserve to feel proud of yourself and your community.
Briann Jolene Santos
Purple Pack
Hey, everyone! My name is Briann Jolene Santos (she/her/hers). I’m originally from the Northern Mariana Islands and my hometown is Dandan village. I’m a senior this academic year majoring in Biomedical Sciences. A fun fact about myself is that I’m originally from the deepest part of the world because my home island, Saipan, sits atop the Marianas Trench! I love listening and playing instruments in my free time. I’m also a car enthusiast and love to bake when I have some free time on my hands. My favorite advice I’ve ever received is to always take things day by day, one step at a time with composure and grace and you’ll always come out fine at the end:)
Faith Langkilde
Purple Pack
Hey everyone! My name is Faith Langkilde (She/Her), I was born in Pago Pago, American Samoa, but had to move to the mainland very shortly after. I have also lived in Texas and Nebraska, however, Washington is by far my favorite place I’ve lived. I transferred to UWT from Tacoma Community College last year and this year I’m going to be a senior majoring in psychology with a minor in education and community engagement. In my free time, I enjoy reading, going on walks, and playing volleyball with my friends. My favorite music genres are R&B (mostly throwbacks) and K-pop. Gold stands for Community & Inclusion
Our family, friends, staff, and faculty form our community, and together we support each other and our collective success. We all come from different places and bring different strengths. It’s important to stand together in these differences. We strive to make everyone feel safe and heard in this space.

Integrity means doing the right thing, even when no one is looking. We aim to have complete transparency in order to foster trust. It’s important to treat each other as equals and show everyone the same degree of empathy and compassion. Part of showing that we care is being present in your journey, wherever that may be.

In my free time you can find me playing volleyball at the Y, playing video games at home, or at a park taking pictures of my friends. The best advice I’ve received was to build good study habits early on, try your best, and to take breaks.
