Milgard School announces 2013 Business Leadership Award Honorees
The 2013 BLA will recognize Richard Brandsma of Sound Credit Union, Janine Terrano of Topia Technology, Joseph Wilczek of Franciscan Health System, Michael Slevin of the City of Tacoma, Brian Sonntag with a lifetime achievement award.
The University of Washington Tacoma’s Milgard School of Business is pleased to announce that it will honor the following individuals at its twelfth annual Business Leadership Awards Dinner on April 30, 2013:
- Business Leader of the Year - Richard Brandsma, president and CEO of Sound Credit Union
- Small Business Leader of the Year - Janine Terrano, president and CEO of Topia Technology
- Non-Profit Business Leader of the Year - Joseph W. Wilczek, CEO of Franciscan Health System
- Lifetime Achievement Award - Brian Sonntag, Washington State Auditor retired
- Distinguished Alumnus of the Year - Michael P. Slevin III, Director of the Environmental Services Department with City of Tacoma (MBA, University of Washington Tacoma - 2004)

The awards dinner will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center.
The Milgard School of Business offers programs of study leading to a bachelor of arts in business administration (BABA), a master of business administration (MBA) and a master of accounting (MAcc).
Established in 1994 as the University of Washington Tacoma's Business Administration program, the school was named in 2003 in recognition of a generous endowment from Gary E. Milgard, the Gary E. Milgard Family Foundation and the James A. Milgard Foundation.
