UW Tacoma School of Nursing and Healthcare Leadership Outstanding Alumni Award

The Outstanding Alumni Award honors a graduate of the UW Tacoma School of Nursing and Healthcare Leadership whose career in healthcare exemplifies excellence in clinical practice, education, and/or leadership. This award is based on the individual’s record of achievement and impact.

Eligibility and Criteria:

• Who can be nominated?
  • Any alumnus who earned one of the following degrees from the School:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
    • Master of Nursing (MN)
    • Bachelor of Arts with a major in Healthcare Leadership (BA-HCL)
  • Self-nominations are welcome.
• What we are looking for:
  • Demonstrated outstanding accomplishments and contributions to nursing and/or healthcare in leadership, education, or practice roles.
  • A record of achievement that reflects excellence and impact in the healthcare field.
  • Selection of the nominee should bring positive recognition to the School of Nursing and Healthcare Leadership and the University of Washington Tacoma.

Nomination Process:

• Nominations may be submitted by faculty, staff, alumni, or the nominee themselves using the designated webform.
• Complete all required fields, including:
  • Uploading a nomination letter
  • Optional: Additional supporting documents
• The School’s faculty will vote on the recipient and forward their recommendation to the Dean for final approval.
