Fall Internal Funding and Royalty Research Fund (RRF) Proposal Information Workshop presented by Kara Luckey (September 2026)
This workshop shares information about upcoming internal funding opportunities, as well as details about applying for the Royalty Research Fund (RRF) - an excellent opportunity open to faculty across UW campuses that provides one-year awards of up to $40,000 to advance new scholarly directions and creative activities, particularly:
‒in disciplines for which external funding opportunities are minimal;
‒for faculty who are junior in rank; and/or
‒in support of increasing competitiveness for subsequent funding.
The RRF has supported many UW Tacoma faculty in advancing their important work and careers. Join Proposal Development Consultant Kara Luckey for this info session – being held in advance of the RRF’s upcoming September 28th deadline (please note, the UWT internal deadline is September 18th)– to gain insight into how the RRF can support your work, the components of a RRF proposal, and the submission process.

Kara also offers tips for maximizing competitiveness based on advice shared by the RRF Committee Chair, Committee Members and Program Administrator, as well as on Kara’s experiences supporting UWT faculty in preparing successful RRF proposals.
