Commencement Listing & Name

Overview

The University of Washington Tacoma publishes a program to accompany the Commencement ceremony each spring. The program lists the names, degrees and honors recognition of graduates for the academic year.

Instructions

Please use this form to indicate if you would like your name removed from the program, indicate special characters such as accents, capitalization & suffixes or indicate a change to your name’s appearance. Unless indicated otherwise by submission of this form, we will use your name of record in your MyUW (as noted on your transcript). 

Due to program publication deadlines, you are encouraged to submit your request by 11:59pm on May 12th, 2024. Changes after this date will try to be accommodated, but are not guaranteed.

Note:  This form only addresses your name as it appears for Commencement related activities and not your name of record used for the diploma or transcript. You may learn more about diplomas at the Office of the Registrar website.

Your name will be listed exactly as typed, and cannot be updated once you have submitted this form.  This name will only be used for your listing in Commencement activities, which may be published in print and/ or online.  Note that you may not use this feature for purposes of fraud or misrepresentation and the University reserves the right to disregard a requested name if it contains inappropriate or offensive language.
