About the Office of the Registrar at UW Tacoma
The Office of the Registrar is part of and serves the academic community by offering administrative resources for students, staff and faculty at the Tacoma campus, which include are but not limited to:
- Maintaining students’ academic records
- Ensuring the impartial application of policies governing grading, registration, residency, and graduation
- Publishing the quarterly Time Schedule and the General Catalog on the web
- Scheduling courses and events in general-assignment academic spaces
- Coordinating course registration
- Producing Husky ID Cards for faculty, staff, students and retirees
- Maintaining the student address and telephone directory
- Providing the final degree review of undergraduates
- Coordinating the distribution of undergraduate, graduate, and professional diplomas
- Advising students, faculty, staff, and the public on academic policies and procedures
The Office of the Registrar participates in various campus-wide committees working with colleagues across all three campuses to help students better navigate through the University.
