Join the Society of Women Engineers at UW Tacoma (SWE) to prepare for Engineering Week! SWE will be hosting two professional development workshops prior to the event.

• Wednesday February 11th: Networking and Communications Workshop 
  An interactive session designed to help students practice introductions, professional communication, and career-focused conversations. Build confidence through guided activities and real-time practice to feel more comfortable networking at events like Evening with Industry, career fairs, and interviews.
• Tuesday February 18th: Resume Workshop
  Get your resume ready for recruiting season with feedback tailored to engineering, technology, and STEM roles. Career Development coaches and industry professionals will share practical tips and help you strengthen your resume before networking with employers.

SWE Evening with Industry

Join the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) at UW Tacoma for our annual Evening with Industry, an exclusive networking dinner connecting South Sound engineering students with professionals across the region. This student-organized event creates a welcoming, low-pressure environment where attendees can learn about industry pathways, explore career opportunities, and form meaningful professional connections.

Professionals from engineering and technology companies will network with students in small group conversations throughout the event. Companies represented include Boeing, Stoke Space, PACCAR, KPFF, Ethos Civil, Manson Construction, Tacoma Public Utilities, ICF, Port of Tacoma, City of Tacoma, Parametrix, Washington Pulp & Paper Foundation, and WSDOT. They cover the fields of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, and related STEM fields. Students will also have the opportunity to connect with UWT engineering faculty and peers from across campus and local community colleges.
