We are all writers. Students beginning their writing journey here at the University of Washington Tacoma can look forward to an introduction to academic writing in meaningful and exciting ways. Students choose one of two options after taking the required Writing Selection survey:
- TCORE 101, a one-quarter course
- TWRT 120 & 121, a two-quarter sequence
Different sections of these courses may have a different theme and readings, but all FYW courses are designed to meet the First-Year Writing learning goals to support students in developing their writing processes to meet the needs of students, their communities, and our world.
