Admitted freshmen and transfer students pay a $162 New Student Enrollment and Orientation Fee (NSEOF) to secure admission to UW Tacoma. The NSEOF was previously named the Enrollment Confirmation Fee (ECF); its name was changed in 2015 as part of a tri-campus effort to streamline processes for students.
The NSEOF is used to fund programs and services that help students transition successfully to the University.
The office of Student Transitions & Success works with the Student NSEOF Advisory Council and the Orientation Advisory Committee to oversee how NSEOF funds are used. The following programs and services receive whole or partial funding for all new undergraduate students provided by the NSEOF:
Advising & Registration Days
Autumn, Winter, and Spring On-Campus Orientations
Transition 101 and 201 Canvas Courses
Childcare Assistance Program Orientation
International Student Orientations and Support via the Global Affairs Fellows
