Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
Dr. Andrew Harris
Andrew Harris is currently Executive Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at the University of Washington Tacoma. Previously he served as Dean of the College of Liberal & Creative Arts at San Francisco State University and Dean of Arts and Humanities at Keene State College in New Hampshire. At Bridgewater State University he served as Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs and as Executive Assistant to the President, where he helped create the university’s first Chief Diversity Officer position. As a faculty member in history at Bridgewater State, he directed the Honors Program and co-founded the university’s undergraduate research program, as well as authoring and co-authoring two books in modern British history. He was an American Council on Education Fellow at the University of Rhode Island, and received his BA in history from Pomona College and his MA and PhD in history from Stanford University.
