About the Director
Stan Emert is the director of Sports Enterprise Management at the Milgard School of Business. His focus has been on management, international business, business strategy and negotiations.

Emert was a scholarship basketball player at Tusculum University. Thereafter, he coached youth basketball for four years and was a commissioner of youth sports in Norris, Tennessee.
Upon relocation to the Pacific Northwest, Emert coached high school basketball for 20 years. In addition to coaching, he assisted in communications and sports operations. He returned to youth coaching and has coached 6th, 7th and 8th graders for four more years. He has also assisted in sports operations at the program.
Emert is the creator of RAINMAKERS.TV, a nonprofit documentary and interview TV/video series that celebrates the successes of people at all levels of the economic pyramid. His interview subjects included a wide variety of people from government, media, NGOs, authors, celebrities, etc.
Finally, Emert is a global business corporate social responsibility veteran. He consults with placing profitable, job-creating green technologies throughout the world.
He has spoken on business social responsibility before the World Bank, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the American Film Institute, and to many other significant audiences around the U.S.
He is the author of two books, and the ghostwriter of five others. He has a BA in history from Tusculum University, and a JD from the University of Tennessee.
