The Office of Government Relations works with state legislators, state-wide elected officials, and state agency officials to advance UW Tacoma’s academic and legislative agenda.

In collaboration with the UW Office of State Relations, the office has three main areas of responsibility:

  • Facilitate positive relationships with state government, with an emphasis on legislators in the South Puget Sound region
  • Advocate on behalf of UW Tacoma
  • Provide support for units and individuals engaged with state government issues and activities

UW Tacoma is located in Washington’s 27th Legislative District. Our campus is represented in the Washington State Legislature by the following elected officials:

Advocacy and Lobbying
