Nominations for the 2021 Distinguished Research Award closed on January 12, 2021.
- Nominations will be accepted from students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Self nominations are also acceptable.
- Nominations will require a brief narrative summarizing the scholarly work or creative activity of the nominee to include the nature of his/her accomplishments and indicators of excellence and achievement The committee will request more detailed information from the nominee at a later time.
- Previous recipients are not eligible for the award. The UW Tacoma Distinguished Research Award may be received only once per lifetime.
Please be sure to write your nomination narrative in a way that describes the faculty member being nominated as well as the nature of his or her accomplishments and indicators of excellence and achievement.
After the nomination deadline, eligible nominations will be forwarded to the committee for review and the campus.
The committee will submit a written recommendation to the Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and notification regarding the recipient will be sent via email to the campus.
