Faculty Fellows Program Application

The Faculty Fellows in Community Engagement Program supports, strengthens, and formalizes collaborations between faculty and community partners. Fellows can receive up to $10,000 to support projects that integrate community-engaged activities with teaching and research. Projects should address a community-identified need and actively involve community partners in the co-learning and co-creating solutions for the public good.

APPLICATION QUESTIONS

APPLICANT MOTIVATION: Describe your interest in current and future community engagement activities. This question is intended to distinguish project details from personal motivation.

PROJECT PURPOSE & COMMUNITY NEED: Describe the the purpose of this project. How were your community partners involved in identifying the need, challenge, or opportunity this project addresses?

PARTNERSHIPS: List your community partner(s) and explain how they will be involved in co-creating, implementing, and evaluating the project.

STUDENT ENGAGEMENT (Optional): How students will participate in this project (e.g., leadership roles, research, community service, internships) and what they will gain from this experience.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Explain how you will organize and manage this project. Include how you will structure the project team, team roles, meeting coordination, and collaboration with OCP staff to ensure smooth implementation.

ASSESSMENT: What methods of assessment will be used to evaluate the anticipated goals? Has this assessment plan been developed with the community partners?

IMPACT & SUSTAINABILITY: Describe the anticipated goals and outcomes for students, faculty/staff, and the community. How will you disseminate or share and sustain the learnings (e.g. results, findings, reports, data, etc.) with your community partner(s).
