Community Kitchen

This kitchen includes a large dining table for gathering, two refrigerators, two microwaves, toaster, utensils, etc. Due to frequent general use, the kitchen is a common space that is available to reserve outside of the CEI's usual hours of service only. |

Classroom space accommodates up to 20 participants and has moveable tables, chairs, a whiteboard, a computer, and a wall-mounted smart TV for presentations and video conferencing.

| Chill Space |  |
The Chill Space is a comfortable area to lounge and is designed to accommodate up to 15 participants. Due to frequent general use, the chill space is a common space that is available to reserve outside of the CEI's usual hours of service only. |
CEI Rules for Reservable Spaces
All enrolled UW Tacoma students, current staff and faculty can reserve these free spaces on a first come, first serve basis when they are available. Some common public spaces are not available during usual CEI service hours due to a high volume of student traffic.
- For questions about this space: contact the CEI front desk in the SNO building at (253) 692-4744 during CEI hours ( Mon, Tues., Thursday and Friday: 9:00am to 5:00pm; Wednesday 9:00am - 8:00 pm) or email uwtcei@uw.edu.
- Use of the space includes abiding by the CEI Community Agreements in accordance with the student conduct code, WAC 478-121.
- Clean up if you hosted an event in our space. Leave the room in the same condition before your event.
- Personal property may not be left unattended in the room to hold the room reservation for a group.
- Reservations should be made at least 2 weeks in advance, when possible.
- When not reserved, Study Spaces are open on a first come, first served basis.
- Study Space users without a reservation must vacate the room when requested by CEI Staff or a group with a valid reservation.
Statement of Neutrality
As a public university, it is the University of Washington Tacoma’s responsibility to provide open and inclusive environments for our entire community. We also must uphold free speech that does not violate federal and state laws or policies. The University is obligated by law to remain content neutral and neither promote nor oppose political views. There should be no implication that the UW in any way endorses the views of groups that lawfully pay to rent space on campus. No public funds are used to support non-UW events and all use of facilities is in accordance with state ethics laws and the Washington Administrative Code.
