William W. Philip Endowed Scholarship
The William W. Philip Endowed Scholarship supports students participating in the Global Honors program, which includes the Global Honors Distinction pathway, Minor in Global Engagement, Microcredentials in Global Engagement, and Minor in Innovation & Design.
Who is Eligible to Apply? Students in the Milgard School of Business and the School of Engineering and Technology enrolled in one of the above academic programs.
Award amount: $1000 quarterly. Priority consideration given to first time applicants.

Application Deadline for Winter Quarter 2026: Sunday, January 4, 2026

IIGE Study Abroad Awards
IIGE Study Abroad Awards promote undergraduate research in global topics through field experience overseas.
Who is Eligible to Apply? UW Tacoma students enrolled in a study abroad program or internship through UW Tacoma Study Abroad, UW Seattle Study Abroad, or UW Bothell Study Abroad. Programs must be at least three weeks in length (in country) and should be a minimum of 5 credits.
Award: $1000 (number of awards vary depending on funding)

Global Innovation & Design Internship
The Global Innovation and Design (GID) Internship is an outstanding opportunity for students to gain professional experience working directly with community organizations. The competitive opportunity is open to all UW Tacoma students.
IIGE Conference and Travel Award
The IIGE Conference and Travel Awards promote undergraduate research and enhance the profile of the IIGE regionally and nationally. Supports up to 10 students per year in their attendance at honors, innovation and design, and global engagement conferences. Grants will typically cover travel and registration.
Who is eligible to apply?: Undergraduate students enrolled in the Global Honors Program, the Minor in Global Engagement, and the Minor in Innovation and Design.
Award amount: Up to $750
