Purpose

The Community Advisory Board (CAB) of the Institute for Innovation and Global Engagement is a dynamic team of leaders working creatively and collaboratively to execute a simple and powerful charge: "connect classroom to world." The charge directly advances the IIGE's vision of "a globally engaged campus" and adds momentum to the mission of the IIGE which is to "create the conditions for ethical and creative problem solving through interdisciplinary research, inclusive innovation, and global engagement."

Board members meet quarterly to co-design extracurricular global learning opportunities such as the Shared Futures Design and Networking Social, serve as mentors, facilitate internships and site visits, and offer wisdom and expertise through conference and classroom speaking opportunities. Board members also facilitate sponsorship of events and student awards.
