A Better Future for the UWT Campus

In our Urban Design Capstone, we were asked to think about how the University of Washington Tacoma campus could grow in the future. As more students join UWT every year, we knew the campus would need to change in smart and helpful ways. We looked at spaces that felt empty or underused and thought about how they could be improved for everyone. Our goal was to design places that feel welcoming, safe, and green. We wanted to help the campus grow while staying true to its history and purpose. To do this, we studied the site, asked questions, and created drawings that showed what UWT could look like in the years ahead. We focused on ideas that could help now and also grow over time.
