Textbooks and course materials are available through the shop for pickup, or to order for electronic delivery. There is a course search tool on the store's website that has information on course materials and delivery options. You can also find links to course materials in the Time Schedule Quick Search.

Need a Husky Card?
If you are a new student who needs one or a continuing student who did not get one earlier, you can use the Husky Card ID Portal to make a request.
Preferred Name
Students are allowed to identify the name they would like to be called in classroom settings and when interacting with University personnel. Log into Identity.UW and follow the directions to set or change your preferred name with the University.
The University of Washington is committed to ensuring everyone is welcome here as their authentic self. You can find a new central online resource on the Husky Health & Well-Being website with important information about Sharing Pronouns at UW.
If you have not satisfied the University’s immunization requirements, you may not be able to register for classes during your second quarter until the registration hold is resolved. Visit the UW Tri-Campus Immunization Requirements website for more information.
- Did you receive vaccines in Washington? The Washington State Immunization Information System (WAIIS) may contain your immunization records. Update your Consent for Immunization Record Query so UW can easily assist you in meeting this requirement.
- Save the Dates: All UW Tacoma students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend the vaccination clinic hosted by the Immunity Verification Program in partnership with the WA Department of Health’s Care-A-Van. Click the dates for details and the appointment links:
Update Emergency Contact
It is important that all UW students provide emergency contact information. Please take a moment to review or update this information in Student Personal Services. Make sure to include both a phone number and email address for the emergency contact you have listed.

The UW Alert system provides current information on campus closures and delays due to inclement weather and emergency situations. You must "opt-in" to this service — you won't receive messages if you haven't signed up. After entering your mobile number, you must click the “Groups” tab at the top and select the Tacoma campus alerts. Visit the Campus Safety & Security website for additional information on emergency preparedness.
