The Spring 2025 TUDE 460 Urban Design Studio VII focused on how the University of Washington Tacoma campus could grow over the next 25 years. Students studied spaces that were underutilized and explored ways to design these spaces for growth, sustainability, and welcoming to the future students of UW Tacoma. Students were tasked with:
- Developing and submitted EPA Rainworks Challenge.
- Developing an urban design proposal based on the urban design framework from Winter Quarter 2025.
- Visual communication of urban design proposal.
- Producing a final report for the capstone course detailing site analyses findings, community engagement process and findings, identifying assets, issues, opportunities, case studies, and how the proposal aligns with the capstone manifesto.
