The Event Management Safety Agreement (often called an "EMSA" by staff) affirms your agreement to abide by campus policies, and informs guests who they can approach about their questions or concerns.
An Agreement is required if one or more of the following applies to your event:
- Furniture will be specially set up or rearranged for your event
- Food and/or alcohol will be served
- Cash will be handled
- Non-UW Tacoma individuals will attend the event (including visitors from UW Seattle and UW Bothell)
The form should be completed and returned to uwyevent@uw.edu by one week prior to the event date. Instructions for completing the agreement are listed on page two of the form.
Event Management Safety Agreements must be posted at the entrance of an event for its duration. CSI student coordinators will make an effort to print and post the Agreement in UWY spaces, but ultimate responsibility falls to event organizers. If an Agreement has not been posted, please use the printer in the Center for Student Involvement (Room UWY 107) to print the agreement immediately.
