Milgard's Hiring - Executive Assistant to the Dean

Reporting directly to Dean Altaf Merchant (Milgard School of Business Dean) this position supports the Dean and provides oversight and support to several functions within the Dean’s Office. Independent and strategic thinking, leadership, and problem solving are required on a daily basis to implement initiatives and provide guidance within the Dean’s office and among the Milgard Leadership Teams. This position requires collaboration with the Director of Operations and also supervises and leads staff.

This position will work closely with external constituents of the Milgard School of Business (https://www.tacoma.uw.edu/business) to include the various advisory boards, chancellor’s office and UW Seattle, related to the School. This includes oversight for the Milgard Executive Council, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, Sports Enterprise Management Advisory Board, Milgard Women’s Initiative Board, CLSR board, Financial Wellness, Entrepreneurship, Accounting and Analytics boards, and assist with development of new boards. In addition, this position will have a deep understanding of program, strategic plans, initiatives, and project management.
