A graduate degree can be the key to advancing your career by developing your expertise and focusing your studies. UW Tacoma offers graduate education in a variety of areas that's engaging, innovative and designed to help each student succeed.
Applicants at the graduate level must apply to both a UW Tacoma degree program as well as the UW Graduate School. Requirements vary by program. Prospective graduate students must:
- Hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the U.S. or its equivalent from an institution outside the U.S.
- Have earned at least a 3.0 grade-point-average (on a 4-point scale) for the last 90 graded quarter credits or 60 graded semester credits.
- Be proficient in English: Applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency.
