Education Specialist (EdS) in School Psychology


The new UWT Education Specialist (EdS) degree program in School Psychology is designed for those interested in pursuing a career as a school psychologist. This program prepares reflective science-practitioners and leaders who value and work for the empowerment of youth, families, educators, and school communities. Courses emphasize multi-tiered systems of prevention and intervention that holistically promote equity; social, emotional, and behavioral wellness; academic success; and collaborative partnerships.


Schools of Education’s Position on Remote Instruction During COVID-19

The School of Education at UW Tacoma recognizes the significant impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on our community, nation, and world. This statement describes the endorsed school-wide efforts to best support current and prospective students during these difficult times. This statement will be revised and updated quarterly to reflect state-wide and university guidance on reopening our campus.
